Cataracts are the leading cause of poor vision in the United States. Approximately 4 million cataract surgeries are performed each year.
With advancements in surgical techniques and technologies, cataract surgery is constantly evolving. Although recent innovations in surgical techniques and intraocular lenses have improved results, clinicians must be vigilant about intraoperative and postsurgical complications. In this program, clinicians will learn about recommended preoperative and intraoperative planning and approaches that can reduce the risk of complications and improve outcomes.
